Dana model 35 / 194 rear ends can be found in 1986 to 2006 Jeep MJ, YJ, TJ, XJ, ZJ. Early models up to 1998 had bolt in axles with press on bearings and in 1999 they switched to c-clip axles. Ring gear diameter is 7-9/16 inch and had ratios from 2.73 to 4.56. The carrier break is 2.73 to 3.31 and 3.55 to 4.56. Pinion gear requires a specific 26 spline pinion yoke that is not to be confused with the 26 spline yokes for the Dana 30 and Dana 44. They are not interchangeable. Axle shafts are 27 splines. The Jeep Dana 35 rear came with a standard open differential carrier or a Trac-Lok limited slip carrier. It is important to note that up to 2000 the ring gear bolt size was normally 0.375-24 but starting In 2001 some had 0.375-24 and some had 0.437-20 ring gear bolts. Something to be aware of when purchasing a diff case or gear set.
