7260, 7290 and 1350 series Universal Joints
At Denny's Driveshafts we make it easy to select the proper universal joint for your car or truck. Sometimes finding the right replacement universal joint is more work than it should be. Look no further. We have the “RIGHT” u-joint for your particular Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler application. Choose from 7260 OR 7290 series universal joints for stock Mopar drivelines. We also carry the various combination u-joints that allow for connecting mismatched driveline components. All you need to do is measure the width of the yoke to get the right one. The typical Mopar driveshaft uses two 7260 series or two 7290 series u-joints. In fact you may find some stock driveshafts can have a 7260 at one end and a 7290 at the other end. The 7260 series is considered the "small" Dodge u-joint and the 7290 is considered the "large" Dodge u-joint. Its easy to tell which one you need. The "small" 7260 series fits a yoke that has an inside span of 2.125 (2 1/8 inches). The "large" 7290 series fits a yoke with an inside span of 2.625 (2 5/8 inches). Some of you with mismatched parts may need a combination u-joint to connect 7260 to 7290...yes we have a u-joint that is made to do just that. In fact we have many different combination u-joints to connect all sorts of mismatched driveline parts. All you need to do is measure very carefully exactly as the diagram shows.
