No need to worry about strength any longer...this stuff is tough! Smooth running and quicker track times are just two of the many benefits of our Aluminum Driveshafts. The average weight savings can be from 6 to 10 pounds and more in some cases. That is a considerable amount in reduced rotating weight.
This is a great choice for the STREET RODDER who has to have aluminum, because with our 6061-T6 aluminum tube you can "polish" it very nicely for that "show car" look.
On the STREET and on the TRACK our Aluminum Driveshafts can handle the power and rpm requirements of todays high performance and racing applications.
The construction of an aluminum driveshaft is very critical, so each one of our aluminum driveshafts comes complete with solid body universal joints and the transmission slip yoke. Great care is taken to produce the cleanest and strongest Mig welds possible so that you can be certain of its strength for street or race abuse. Our balance weights are aluminum (not steel) and Mig welded in precisely the right location. We do it this way to be sure that you have the smoothest running and most reliable aluminum driveshaft that you can buy.
Denny's Aluminum Driveshafts come in 3 different tube diameters. The 1310 series can be built in 3 inch or 3.5 inch OD. The 1330 series can be built in 3 inch 3.5 inch or 4 inch OD and 1350 series can be built in either 3.5 inch or 4 inch OD. All are 6061-T6 Aluminum with .125 inch wall thickness for superior torsional strength and reliability.
HIGH SPEED BALANCED and TESTED to be sure it will run as smooth as it looks. Our Aluminum shafts come with a beautiful brushed aluminum finish that looks great. You'll like how it looks.
You should understand that not all racing applications can use aluminum successfully, so please call our tech line for more info. The heavyweight cars and trucks can be very abusive on a hard launch so using aluminum may not be the best choice. Please note we DO NOT offer our "twist it or break it" replacement with any aluminum driveshafts. We only offer this with our steel driveshafts.
All pricing below for Denny's Aluminum Driveshafts include Spicer Solid Body Universal Joints and a new transmission slip yoke. All are High Speed Balanced and Tested to be sure it will run smoothly at your full rpm range.
