The 598448 slip yoke is designed as a simple way to add a Double Cardan CV to the common Jeep NP231 transfer case without the expense of a slip yoke eliminator kit. The typical solution to a rear driveshaft angle problem with the short Jeep wheelbase was to convert the transfer case to a 1310 CV bolt on style end yoke. This was done with the "slip yoke eliminator" kit. The 598448 slip yoke fits directly on the factory NP231 transfer case rear output and accepts standard Spicer 1310 CV parts. This allows you to build a rear 1310 CV driveshaft relatively inexpensively.
