    • 2.687 x 2.937 inch cl of bolt holes
    • NOTE: This does not fit the newer 3R series driveshaft with the square bolt pattern 3.0 x 3.0 inch cl of bolt holes
  • Bolt Circle.... 4.25 inches measured diagonally
  • Pilot Diameter... 3.125 inches
  • Requires Inside "C" Clip style 3R Series u-joints listed below
    • 3R series original equipment universal joint would have been held in place by injected plastic

NOTE: DOES NOT FIT driveshafts the driveshafts where lockup surface was not machined to accept "C" clip

  • Prior to 1973 many GM double cardan driveshafts were non serviceable because the inside surface of the yokes where the new "C" clip would lock in the new u-joint was never machined flat. Easily identified by looking carefully to see if the inner lockup surfaces of the stud yoke, H-Yoke and flange yoke are rough and not machined flat.
  • You cannot connect new parts to an OEM stud yoke that was never machined to accept a "C" clip. If you have this then it would require a new stud yoke to be welded to the tube and a new cv head.
